Law & Justice

The class of Law & Justice is an interesting class because we as students get the benefit of learning the laws upheld by the government, wether they are local, state, or federal. We also get to learn about the different punishments that are given to people for certain crimes that they've committed. The class also gives us an insight of how the judicial system works, wether it be in our state or in an other state. We get to learn about the many different crimes there are, and the punishments for those crimes. We also get to see how the law classifies each crime and why they classify them as they do.

The System The Law Enforcers The Judges

As the table shows the police and judges are important when it comes to enforcing the laws that keep us all safe. The judicial system relies on judges a lot because they are the ones who sentence criminals to jail or some other kind of punishment. The police are the ones who capture the people who are suspected of committing a crime. They are the ones responsible for our safety.

The class also teaches you about your personal rights and when they might violated, and by who and why. You get a chance to look into past cases and determine for yourself if the ruling of the judge was fair or unfair based on the evidence and eye witnesses. This gives you an inside look of how these cases dealt with. This would be a good class to take for someone who is interested in a law career because it teaches you a lot of basic information that is used in that field everyday.
